  What's been happening lately at Wilss:

Our 20th Birthday Celebration

   Wilss recently completed the Sustainable Business Challenge and was a finalist in the Waikato Sustainable business Awards in the not-for-profit section.  Our aim is to operate with responsible business practices to ensure the sustainability of our planets resources. 

  • The Global Education Fund is supporting 243 students from 9 schools to participate within our  "Learning for Sustainability" programme.  These Year 9 students have been demonstrating their leadership around sustainability, climate change and consumption issues by leading activities and events within their schools.  Events have included; Expo days, E Collection, Assembly presentations, school rubbish audits, raising the awareness around recycling, reducing and reusing with plays, static displays, Trash2fashion parades, surveys, movie productions and raps.
  • WILSS provided an awesome day's volunteer training for the 67 Paeroa Community Support Trust leaders in preparation for the 250 children who have been attending the first week of the September Holiday Programme - "Loved the day, thought the facilitators were amazing and it was really useful" participant's comments about the training day.
